Professional Experience:
Mr. Diamond is the leader of the firm’s transactional practice. He has had extensive experience representing clients in a wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters including retail, office, industrial and parking garage leasing, sales and purchases, financing, development and construction. He has also represented the boards of numerous cooperatives and condominiums in New York City. Mr. Diamond has acted as counsel to landlords and tenants in leasing supermarkets, apparel stores, movie theaters, health and exercise facilities, medical offices and other businesses, both in urban street locations and in shopping centers and malls. He has represented a leading national clothing store chain in the lease of its flagship location in Rockefeller Center and the sale of a large retail chain of approximately 120 stores. Mr. Diamond has negotiated and helped settle complex disputes among property owners, handled the financing of numerous properties in Manhattan and elsewhere, and negotiated construction contracts and access agreements for a wide range of projects. Mr. Diamond is presently a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Commercial Leasing Committee and Cooperative and Condominium Committee. His interests outside of the office include sports, songwriting and playing guitar, reading and generally expanding his knowledge of the world.
